Have a look at ....this....

I had to check the date to make sure it wasn't 1st April!

[susanbb]

So true. You couldn't make that one up, could you

Blimey

[beach chick]

oh good grief! it IS the Daily Mail tho...!

[The Dogmother]

Ridiculous!

Mind you, there are some pillocks out there - Yesterday, I had to go and have a word with our gardener at work - after watching him fill up his petrol hedge trimmer while a fag was hanging out of his mouth!

[bronze]

I saw a Rosemary and Thyme onece where someone was found dead on an allotment mad world

[bronze]

Just a thought are the council paying insurance on the plots not in use?

[Paola]

What is the world coming to

[Lesley]

I wonder if they could have collective insurance? - as a group?

... perhaps I shouldn't step outside my back door this morning? all those hazards in the veggie plot.... and all the killer sheep and pigs, not to mention hens......

[Lesley]

...I forgot the killer bees

[Charlottechicken]

There are some interesting comments at the bottom of the piece, I think the council may have been found out.

The insurance is still expensive though, I wonder what risks the insurance company came up with?

[Egluntyne]

I reckon it is a cynical ploy by the council to get folk off prime building land by making allotments unaffordable.
