Tiggy Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 Showcase cinemas have a membership scheme where you get cheaper tickets on a Tuesday so OH and I are having a regular night out, pub meal & film, its great. Saw planet of the Apes last week, really good film, the story makes you wonder how clever we really are Saw the inbetweeners this week, er hum not sure it should even be a 15, but funny in a very base way, OH was roaring most of the way through. Space Chick Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 I think a date night is a lovely idea Can't remember when OH and I last went to the cinema... the last time I went was to see the Eclipse, and next time will probably be Breaking Dawn - but that is friend time, not hubby time I have recently found the inbetweeners TV show, just finished watching the first series and I have to say... I love it... yeah the humour is crude but I find it hilarious It is hilarious I'm sure you can tell what the movie will be like just from watching 1 episode or even the trailer. Cinnamon Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 I love The Inbetweeners too - as a family we have watched it from day 1 We loved the movie too & found it all great fun (& believe me I am very squeamish when it come to icky stuff!) There aren't that many movies that Hubby & I both want to see. Cowboys & Aliens maybe,but I want to see One day & he doesn't,so I generally go on my own,during the day. I agree - I absolutely hate the inbetweeners, and sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world who does. The girls at work keep telling me 'it's so funny though, why don't you like it?' urm... because I don't find it funny? The gags are all very predictable, the acting incredibly wooden, and I absolutely wouldn't part with any cash to see an extended version of an episode in a cinema. PAH. I hate harry hill, not going out, chris rock and last of the summer wine too. Frankie Boyle has his moments, he was best on mock the week, but I can't listen to or watch his stand up, it's abrasive. In fact Mock the Week is one of the most irritating programmes ever made (IMO) Love Harry Hill though, Bill Bailey, Count Arthur Strong and Michael MacIntyre in small doses - he does start to get a bit irritating after a while!
