Good quality & value leggings

Recommended Posts

Ok, Omlet wisdom needed!

I want to buy some leggings for the daughter (not me,before you all run for the hills!), but most I have found are thin,go baggy quickly & don't wash very well.

I don't especially want to pay more than £12 or so,but want a really good pair, that won't show her knickers through the fabric or go all loose at the knees.

She is a ladies size 8-10.,with long legs.

Any recommendations?

I have been asking the same question and been told that H&M and New Look are the best. I was told off by a fashionista colleague (with a teen daughter) for buying Primark ones, when I asked if she knew of leggings which didn't show ones undergarments or go baggy!

Just to add, as I've got some of those high street vouchers, I was able to pick up a pair of black cropped leggings from a Wallis concession in BHS the other day. They seem much better quality than Primark (obviously!) but were priced at £12, although I bought them with a voucher and a sale discount!

Thats odd about the Primark ones.

I did a Google yesterday & their leggings which are marketed as a support garment & sold by the knickers came out top!

Maybe they are a bit more robust than their usual thin day ones that I have bought before?

For £4,I am willing to give them a go,anyhow

The Primark ones I bought bagged really quickly hence my colleague telling me off. They are pretty see through too, when you bend, even though I bought a generous size 12, and risked them being too loose at the waist. Good job I only wanted to wear them in the garden! I can't imagine them being any kind of support garment, must be some other type they sell :?

I've had some from Next - brilliant. Washed loads & still don't bag. I've also had some from George at Asda, quite good as thicker than the Next ones, but tend to wrinkle a bit round the ankles as I have short legs. Very good ones were from M&Co,Matalan & Dorothy Perkins. My Primark ones didn't pull up too well & Peacock ones were a bit thin.

Will be watching this thread as I also need some new ones.

I had the same issue with the asda ones, only I don't have short legs, I had skinny ankles. They fit fine straight out of the wash/dryer, but after a couple of hours they go all baggy round the ankles :(
