Do I come under the classification of a 'sad' old woman?

Thank you - you can only see a bit of it in the photos - the weather was so very bad - and my husband now thinks that I am totally insane - but helped out when I needed him too - and left me happily 'playing' in the chicken pen.

The cube will be so much better for my back - even though I have the Eglu perched up higher - it is not as high as the cube, and there is so much usable space underneath too - I like that especially, as I can get to rake it all out.

Yes - I am thrilled to bits with it and it was worth the wait - now when can I get my baby banties - will see how they are doing at the breeders.

Oh dear - for some reason, I never saw the page with all your comments about my DIY skills.

Go and wash your naughty, naughty, beaks out with soap.

You fair make me

Well done. It looks wonderful, as does your garden. I have spent half of today getting ready for my cube to arrive tomorrow but I now feel I should get the area more landscaped for it as yours looks so pretty. It is lovely to hear how pleased you are with it. I am so impressed that you built it so quickly (as well as keeping everyone on the forum amused). Multi-tasking as only a woman can

Mine - well my youngest grandson :lol::lol:

He is 18 months old and understands both Japanese and English and he is so cute.

He can speak Japanese and English too and does baby sign language so that he can tell me what he wants!

If he signs for say strawberries and I ask him to say 'Please' he bows, Japanese style very politely and seriously - 'Thank you' is a very deep bow - with a wonderful grin when he straightens up.

This weekend when we were all relaxing and the 'grown ups' were having a glass of wine, he asked for water, so I gave him his baby drinker.

He went around to each of us, 'chinked' our glasses and said (I shall spell this phonetically) 'Um-bye' - then 'Cheers' - it was so funny! Um-bye is the Japanese equivalent of cheers of course.

Great photos Mrs Bertie - and what a stunning garden and out look you have.

A bit mean siting your veggie patch right next to the cube isn't it. Must be torture for your 'girls'

I did think it might constitute animal cruelty, but it means I don't have to throw the slugs far to get them into the run! Mind you, thanks to the PLAGUE of slugs I seem to have this year I have virtually no veg left - planted beans (runner and french) three times, all gone!!

I hate slugs

But I lurv chickens!

I'm off to look at your pictures now Dilly
