Oh I agree. Absolutely loved it. Just watched it again with YD as she didn't understand some of it. Such a hardship Cannot wait till next weeks Shame its only three episodes again

Mmmmm, maybe I'll give it a try again then, I gave up on the last series as the actor who plays Shelock is too smug for my liking. I love Robert Dowey Jn as Sherlock though, he is great eye candy! Maybe I need to get over my initial reaction and give it another go!

Hadn't really thought of it before, but apparently there are complaints flooding in about the content being unsuitable for pre watershed audiences, and I must admit, they have a point.

Sherlock Holmes is/was an incredibly smug character (I always found him quite unlikeable actually)...so Benedict Cumberbatch is just acting the part.

 

I love the modern setting, and I really like Martin Freeman's portrayal of Watson. And Una Stubbs portrayal of Mrs Hudson.

 

I think the 2 main actors really complement each other and make a very believable pair.

I LOVED it, have been waiting for it's return as I gather it had to be scheduled around Martin Freeman filming the Hobbit in NZ, but he was really keen to do it if at all possible.

I think the actors have such great chemistry and it is both modern and old fashioned at the same time, particularly like the way they made Watson ex-army. (Afghanistan or Iraq I think).

It's a bit like The Killing as you really need to concentrate - agree it maybe should have been on after the watershed though.

I haven't watched it yet, I've got it taped and ready. The storyline sounded a bit daft and I prefer detective cases to be 80% the case and the rest about the detectives. Reviews sound like it might be the other way round. What do people who watched it think? If it's about Sherlock's love interest, however different that is, I might give it a miss as that would be wrong for me.

I've loved the previous ones, is it similar?

It has a similar feel to it & it,IMHO,just as good as the previous ones.

I heard the other day that the BBC received quite a few reports about the nudity in Sherlock before the watershed.

Spoilsports in my opinion

 

My only complaints are the early start (I had to rush home early last week and missed the first 5 minutes- thought it started at 9!) and the fact we only get 3 episodes (though I'd rather have 3 quality episodes than 10 worse ones).

I can't wait for the next episode on Sunday
