Well done to all of you I've spent an hour or so this morning making a New Home card for my friend, who should be moving Friday Made 8 inchie squares, coloured them in with a few different colours, then put a letter on each one, to spell out New Home & drew a house on one. They are quite different to each other but both lovely. There are two decoupage? ones and two that are like a hardened plastic/ceramic type thingy - also lovely! Looks like stripes of blue and silver with touch of red medium placed then drawn each way to make jaggy shapes and holes. Very clever and a felt inchie with little flowers, gems and medium on a felt square Wow Nutty Omleteer they're great and love the chicky card they came in. bluekarin Posted February 22, 2012 Share Posted February 22, 2012 I was about to post earlier to say I hadn't got mine yet But.......I saw a white rectangle on the floor mat by the front door with some sellotape on it and when I picked it up..... It was my INCHIES! Inside were three coloured feathers and little card saying Happy February from your Omlet swapee and two lovely inchies. One is fabric sewn onto a fabric backing in little ripple waves with a very pretty flower button onto and the other is at first glance I thought was a quilted square, but it almost looks like the fabric is iris folded (papercraft) and looks incredibly fiddly, but perfectly done (would LOVE to know how you did it ) in my fave teal greeny blue background and triangles in red, orange and purple. Yay! Both of them have arrived! Thankyou so much lovely omleteers, they're both fab. 2 are like little tiles, that make up a picture of a flower in a flower pot The other 2 are handstitched with little stars as embellisments - The most tiny chain stitch you've ever seen! A lovely card with two beautiful tiny patchwork squares - one orangey, one green but they both have purple in and magically they team up with the two purpley felted ones received earlier. I will do a photo at the weekend, can't manage it tonight. The edges of the patchwork ones are all oversewn - someone has excellent machine control skills! When hubby saw mine this afternoon he was mesmerized & thought they were very clever. He was amazed at what could be done in a square in. If he had to make inchies, the recipient would probably get a bit of circuit board with resistors soldered to it! Actually they might look a bit funky! I might challenge him! I bought a coaster from the Eden Project which is made from circuit boards. I'm going to take a photo of my 8 later - I forgot yesterday.
