Groovychook
Sounds great! I'm going to place an order- just trying to work out if I'm a 'light' or a 'light/ medium' Good to see that when ordering a sample kit, they send you a £5 voucher + free postage off your next order, so that the samples work out as good as free! Groovychook
I did wonder if you hadn't received one as you didn't mention it... If you go to the website, go to 'special offers' and then 'try before you buy', it tells you how you can contact them if you did not receive a voucher with your order and they'll send you one. I'd drop them an email
craftyhunnypie
I tried that Garnier BB on my hand the other week. Oh it was glorious! I was in a rush, so didn't purchase at the time - but I will definitely get some next time I go into Aber. Lovely smooth consistency & not at all cloggy. Lavenders_Blue
My Earthnicity sample kit arrived today. It's really good that they send 3 foundation shades so you can match it properly with your skintone - this morning I have rocked both the 'walking dead' and the 'make up counter' look before getting it just right (I hope ). I'm a bit unsure about the powder concealer, I might try the foundation with my normal Boots No7 concealer tomorrow just to compare but so far I am very happy with the powder foundation. It feels lovely on - so light and smooth. And I think that the finishing powder really does give a gorgeous finish. I also like the fact that you can either just apply a very light sweep of foundation or layer it up for a more made up look. Perfect for day/evening wear. Will make a decision after the weekend as to whether or not to order a full sized foundation. I didn't get a £5 voucher either so will e-mail them to ask them to send me one. Lesley
I shall have to take a look at Earthnicity and such like as Avon have had to remove their claim to not test on animals from their website details I asked three different agents and each time was given the printed sheet that Avon produce - I questioned why, if it was true, that it wasn't on all their products?. Against Animal Testing group pushed further and the ASA made Avon remove it. I'm still not sure what is going on as there are counter claims to this so I'm still looking...... Lavenders_Blue
Meant to add on my last post, if anyone would like the sample sizes of Alabaster or Natural Light Earthnicity to try then I am happy to post mine on. They will only go to waste otherwise. (Might not be much use without the Porcelain shade which is in between the two though?)
Lavenders_Blue
Just resurrecting a very old thread to add a new make up recommendation. I went for a day shopping in Birmingham yesterday and was pounced on by a woman in Debenhams who wanted to demonstrate mineral make up on me. I never usually agree to make up counter demonstrations (fear of coming away orange ) but the girl explained that it's a fairly new chemical free and vegetarian society approved brand which swayed me. The brand is Samina Pure Makeup Well, I was really impressed - the make up is luuuurvely. I have been using Earthnicity make up since this thread was originally posted, but I think the Samina make up is even nicer. I didn't come away with the full kit that she was desperate to flog me as I have plenty of foundation and concealer already in my make up bag. However, the setting powder I really liked and bought a pot of, plus a pot of blusher which I NEVER wear, but it gave me a beautiful, healthy glow. She then chucked in a free lipgloss which was nice. I think I'll switch over completely when my current Earthnicity products run out, as I am really impressed.
