welovemarmite
Ok, after much thinking we went to crufts at the weekend and went to the discover dogs section. We had a list of dogs we thought we wanted, and after finding more about them, they all got scrubbed off the list. And, a whole load of other dogs went on it. But, one dog breed came out tops, and one that we have never heard of and a type we have never thought would be our kind of dog, the Eurasier. So, today I have been busy contacting breeders and a week tomorrow I will be going to see a puppy. It could be fate as his nick name is the same name we call my step daughter when we are being silly. I have so much to learn!!!
mollyripkim
How lovely, crufts is a great way to crystalise what you are looking for. I know of someone with a eurasier, he is a little stand offish when you first meet him but if you ignore him he is then your best friend! Lavenders_Blue
How exciting! I have never heard of a Eurasier before so just Googled it - super cute! Do they require much grooming, as the coat is gorgeous.
welovemarmite
Apparently they need grroming once a week and they malt once or twice a year. So not too bad.

We needed one that wouldnt get too funny with strangers as we will be taking him to our studio with us. So, dont mind stand offish, just didnt want agression.. We were exactly the same when we went to Crufts with our list which we then tore up and started again . We eventually got an English Springer Spaniel a breed I was not keen on before but now love. You were lucky to find a litter so quickly. Hope your meeting goes well and you find the right pup. Look forward to the update.
Ain't Nobody Here
What a lovely dog . I'd never heard of it either but was thinking it looks like a Spitz when I saw the images, then read it is a type of Spitz! Congratulations, exciting times ahead . dancing cloud
Ooh! Just seen this and they're gorgeous ! My family have had Norwegian Elkhounds for nearly 40 years which are also a Spitz breed, and I've not seen Eurasiers before. Let us know how your puppy visit goes - I bet the pups are little furry teddy-bears that you won't be able to resist cuddling
