Recommended Posts

I ahve tried all sorts of supplements to try and get the optimum condition on my show birds, Lifeguard is a good general one

I think the best supplement I have used is a brilliant one in a bucket that contains lots of vitamins and minerals and also grit, it is awesome stuff and is my 'wouldnt be without' product. Its made by Backs

I trialled a supplement called 'digesti-health' by Chicken Vet.

Probably the best 'spec' supplement I have seen ( I produce supplements for horses and cattle usually!)

It contains a chelated Selenium called Sel-Plex which is more bioavailable than other forms of selenium and is great for immunity, shell quality and hatchability.

It contains a 'MOS' which has trail work to bind pathogens such as E-Coli and Salmonella and excrete them - all published work..its also got other vits and mins in it too and my girls have been REALLY great on them - bright red combs, fabulous eggs and plumage.

Great supplement for general health and vitality and in terms of protein supplements they also do liquid tonic called 'Amino +' i am a massive fan!

i dont sell them or have anything to do with the brand - just think they are great and the products in the supplement are peer reviewed- and not over priced like LifeGuard is - for what is in it ( coming from someone who buys these raw materials in at cost price to make supplements for different species!)
