scubababe
This is my sons old cot which I rescued from the skip My thought process is to make some roosting bars of some description & maybe a swinging bar & maybe use some as ladder up to the cube co-ordinating accessories I think they are a good size for the ladies feet...unless you think differently DSC_0013 by skubababe, on Flickr
Plum
Good idea but get some acrylic paint and brighten them up
Patricia W
I think it's too nice for the girls. I'd restore it- but then I am looking for something to do up for my new grandchild due in September.

I would love to restore it...unfortunately my son did a good job on wrecking it so it was a rapid swap to a bed before it collapsed completely It's had a good life...4 years with my uncle being used when he was babysitting his grandchildren and then had my 2 in it Hmmmmm ideas ideas ideas... bluekarin
I think you'd need to be careful about using them outdoor in the elements. Your idea as roosting bars or ladder for the girls is great, and would look great with a lick of paint. We used an old cot as a stair gate on our back door, so we could have it open, but the toddlers couldn't escape. Some fantastic ideas here upcycling a cot

The roosting bars etc would be in my WIR which will be reasonably weather proofed.
