Uma
Some of you may have known that both of my old girls had sterile peritonitis and I was giving them the injection to stop them producing eggs. Bramble had been unwell but really picked up and was eating and happy again. Yesterday she seemed a little less bright but still running around but eating less and this morning she was a little tentitive when going out but still seemed bright. I wanted to check her crop to see if she was eating so this afternoon caught her and it sounded like she had fluid in her lungs and was really struggling to breathe. I brought her in and realised that she was about to die I never wanted to put her through the journey to the vets as I feel it would have stressed her so much she would have gone in the car. It took less than 40 mins but just before she passed she panicked and flapped around. It was awful. Goodbye my sweet little Brambs thank you for sharing your life with me.... peckingham palace
So sorry, had a bereavement myself as we lost our beloved Mabel. Bramble will have had a happy and contented safe life with you. You could not have done anymore. Hugs to you x
Duncan08
My White star, Vanilla, died on my knee, she lay with her eyes closed and every time I stopped stroking her would open her eyes to tell me to keep going. She let out an almighty squawk as she died, which gave me a start, but it was over quickly. Sorry to hear about your Bramble, it's the downside of keeping the chucks but unavoidable.
