quickcluck
All you avid bakers out there, which would you choose??? I really can't decide.... I wouldn't usually spend this on a kitchen tool, but we've had a wee windfall and my DH says I can have a treat!!!! Help!
abwsco
No idea but Debenhams has extra money off them for today only
angeluk69
Kitchenaid, every time!!! (but i don't have any experience of the Kenwood, so I am totally biased) My mum always wanted a Kitchenaid mixer but never got one, and when she sadly passed away, I made sure I got one to sit proudly in the kitchen. Mine is the 90th Anniversary Candied Apple Red. I love it!!
snowberry
KitchenAid, as they have style
bluekarin
See, I would say Kenwood. I have an original 70's orange one from a charity shop and love it. My mum had the same one (but she bought hers new.) I do however like the look of the Kitchen Aids. Maybe have a look at what each offers, and go from there
soapdragon
We love our Kenwood Chef and make all our own bread! Have no experience of the Kitchenaid tho but don't think you;ll be dissapointed with a Kenwood.
Olly
I dithered and dithered over this last year, and just couldn't bring myself to pay the extra money for a KitchenAid. Bear in mind that (unless you've got a huge kitchen and a strong back!) it will be on the worktop all the time - there are occasional moments when I think that the Raspberry KitchenAid would have looked gorgeous, but I opted for the Kenwood kMix in cream/almond colour, it looks quite retro and it's been absolutely brilliant - pastry, sponges, meringues, biscuit mix. It was money well spent, and I love using it. Go to Amazon and read the reviews, there are lots on there.
Purplemaniacs
I always wanted a Kenwood but could never justify spending a lot of money but last year OH said why don't you get one. After lots of consideration I bought a Kitchen Aid and I am not disappointed in it. It is out all the time where as my old big one I only used occasionally and I kept it in the cupboard as it was ugly. The only thing I found to start with was I tended to over mix my victoria sandwiches as it was so easy I don't think you would be disappointed which ever one you decide on but I would go for the Kitchen Aid Chrissie
quickcluck
Which colour did you get? I am drifting towards the boysenberry.....
SallyD
Hi. From experience I would say definitely get a Kitchenaid. I used to have a Kenwood Chef but unfortunately it 'bounced' off the worktop one day when I was making bread and that was the end of it! I now have a Kitchenaid which is a much more solid and heavier appliance and I love it. I have the Classic which only comes in white but some of the Artisan colours are gorgeous and I think I would have found it hard to choose which one to get! Over time I've bought the slicer/ shredder and pasta maker attachments for my Kitchenaid and use them regularly and have now got my eye on the ice cream maker. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with a Kitchenaid and they look great left out on the worktop! Sally
munkee1965
Would of loved a Kitchen Aid but couldn't justify the expense. I went for a Kenwood Prospero and love it.
rachel19
KitchenAid every time!!" I love mine and it was money well spent. Especially with the ice cream attachment too!!!!
craftyhunnypie
Kenwood for me. Only the pretty colours that make me like the Kitchen Aid. I've got 3 generations of Kenwood mixer (don't ask, I inherited 2). I've got a 1950's one ( this is very funky retro), a 1970's one & a Fancy noughties one. Purplemaniacs
How exciting I am sure you will love it, I have a lovely red one. It mixes so well and effortlessly, be careful that you do not over mix things as I did, before I just used a hand held mixer, the ugly big one stayed in the cupboard and came out once a year at Christmas Chrissie

I also managed to make butter one day, but it turned into a bit of an education all round Always start slow, work your way up in speed and enjoy!
