Ladylucan
Hiya, I am waiting for a parcel which i ordered Tuesday from Omlet, which when i ordered did say it would be delivered today, but nothing arrived, Is that just a rough estimate?, as i did wait in most of the morning, but then there was someone else in all day just incase, How long does it normally take?, Thankyou xxxx
Nicola H
Not too sure Tracey, you would be best speaking to the Omlet team at HQ I would give them a ring and explain the situation.
Ladylucan
thanks Nicola, had just wondered how long their parcels normally take, mind you under special delivery requests, i did ask for a tall dark handsome stranger, maybe they had trouble finding one x
One Man Banned
another case of Nightfright - sorry - Nightfreight? .......... sparkleeeeee
i ordered a set of glug and grub and some spares last week, omlet said it would be delivered on friday but because of the strike it came on monday. if its a small parcel it is with royal mail and they are probably the ones causing the delay not omlet. my post office havent caught up yet. hopefully you will get it tomorrow (fingers crossed)
Louise
You think Nightfreight are bad Business Post should be shot My neighbour ordered a limited edition Picasso print number 30 of 150 which is worth a couple of thousand quid for his wifes birthday and it never showed up They contacted the company who claimed it was delivered and left in their wood store which it wasn't and in the end the original supplier had to send another one It was discovered last week in MY wood store shoved at the back (it is summer you know) and it was only found by my house sitters boyfriend who does wood turning and he had climed in looking for a piece of oak to take for a carving he wanted to do It was left there 3 months ago I suppose it is good news about the crime rate in my part of the world
One Man Banned
You'd think that delivery people would get the right address wouldn't you? The worst case of mis-delivery I had was an incident at work - leaving a hire car at someones home. For three weeks we tried to find this Ford Focus and in the end my boss and I went driving around Stroud and found it in the next street in a "rough" area. It had been smashed up, windows broken, interior mouldy, suspension broken and with two flat tyres! Our drivers had left the car outside the house, popped the keys thru the letterbox and left, but it was in xxxx road and not xxxx close. The guy who had a free car told his neighbours he'd bought it at Carcraft (a brand new 06 car ) - and when the police helped get the car back the chap was already inside for drugs related charges. So, Louise, do you like Picasso? A xx
Louise
Not really Andrew I gave it back last weekend and it was only then that Linda told me what it was she doesn't know what to do with it either That is the third parcel Business Post have left in my wood store but this one was crammed out of sight None of them have been for me I think Gareth should change his art supplier as it is always parcels from them I think the one that went astray was the only really valuable one though - typical
chocchick
I once got a delivery the day after the order, mine have generally been 2-3 days I think. Have been with normal post though generally. Larger packages to work were fine too, although I got some strange looks.
Geoid
Well Royal Mail is better than the evil nightfreight, at least I got my stuff from the postie in the end
Ladylucan
Well, i was hoping it would have arrived today, as i desperately need to treat my babies who i think have mites, if i realised i would have to wait this long, i would have driven around to find it and buy it over the counter, Omlet, i am very disappointed!!!!! xx

The Dogmother
They work weekdays Tracey I don't know if it's relevant if yours was sent by Nightfreight, but we're just 5 miles form the Omlet mothership and the post here has been dreadful lately
Lesley
...and it's been terrible here as well. Our postman says it hasn't been right since the first strike - we often don't get any post these days as we are a rural round which is done after one of the town rounds - when they are working to rule, we just don't get any post
Guest
My winner of the worst deliver company goes to ANC - they couldn't find our house and got the sender to email me. When I phoned they put me on to ANC who insisted they needed a contact number so that the driver - who would try in the "next couple of days" could call for directions when he as nearby. I'm a teacher so giving them my moble number is as good as useless to contact me. I said - well if they put my postcode into their satnav they will be directed right into the service road where my house is and then just have 3 houses to choose from. She told me they don't have sat nav!!! Unbelievable that they are delivering without it, the cost to the environment from all the times they get lost is shocking! As for the current postal strike - Cunard tried to tell me that I hadn't received a booking confirmation from a month ago because "there's been a postal strike" Yeah 2 days does not cause that much aggro. I havn't had the misfortune of dealing with nightfreight yet but I expect I will soon!
Ladylucan
Oh well , i shall wait and see what tomorrow brings, at the moment the post has been ok, we have had no problems at all, but obviously if you do that end it would delay it, Hopefully Omlet will ring me back tomorrow and we can track down the delayed parcel, !!! Prongs
Most postal delivery businesses lack at getting things delivered on time, they're not good!
starboyhull
With all the millions of deliveries that happen a week I have to say that we very rarely have any problems and we have a lot of deliveries a week
Prongs
Really? Alot of things that have supposed to have been delivered to me on a certain date have turned up late or in some cases not at all!
mountainboarddude
i was keeping an eye on my neighbours house whilst they were away(they look after my chooks when i'm on holiday) and they got a parcel from new zealand. parcel force forced their side gate open and left the parcel by there back doors while it was raining. luckily i found it and took it in, but they should have asked if we would have taken rather than breaking into someones garden
Prongs
Yes! They don't have any consideration whatsoever!
ubereglu
Some of these delivery people should be sacked and some delivery companies taken to court the amount of complaints they've had and their poor service.
One Man Banned
I'm waiting for Parceline to deliver a cafe style coffee machine - it was picked up from the person I bought it from yesterday as they didn't get to him on Friday. They promised him an "upgraded" service so it would arrive with me next day (today).....but it didn't arrive - and the depot and my home aren't blocked by water either (they're just next to the Police Headquarters that are on the news) Just emailed the guy to let him know they didn't come today and their promise to him was broken, so he ought to get them to refund his charge the irony is because this machine needs to be wired into the mains water and electricity I can't use it yet - no water! but I'd like to get it installed at home for when I can use it it's something to look forward too!!
