Omlet cube and run

Here is a picture of Bella in my garden last weekend. I've had her for 5 years now. She is still perky and loves to get out and have a scratch around the garden. She looked so glossy I had to take a picture.

Bella died today. I thought she was being broody, she often was, so I went to get her out of the nesting box. She had a mucky bottom and was very lethargic. I got a jug of warm water to wash her and have a look, she died whilst I was washing her. I'm a bit tearful but relieved that it was over so quickly for her.

I am so sorry that you have lost Bella. So difficult to loose a loved pet.

Oh how sad, she looked a beautiful girl and sure had a lovely life and as you said quick, but I don't think at the time it helps much as you are going to be sad. Xx

Sorry to hear about Bella, glad you are feeling a little better today. It sounds like she had a lovely loving home, lucky girl.

 

I love the way black chooks look glossy in the sunshine, Ebony my Pepperpot used to have a lovely shine.
