Impromptu party in the High St, everyone singing and dancing. People driving around the town tooting their horns. Have never really experienced such joy in the town before. Daphne Posted July 8, 2013 Share Posted July 8, 2013 What a lovely photo I'm at home with my Mum, she was 2 when Fred Perry won and she's played tennis and been a fan all her life. I wouldn't let her leave the room when she said she didn't think she could bear to watch the final game because I knew she'd regret it, and I think a few tears were shed! I watched the documentary that was shown the weekend before it started, this afternoon, he seems such a nice guy with a great support network.
