theherd123
I'm making Jake's birthday cake for this weekend - mini versions of the infamous Poo Cake - which Kate has named Splats!. Brilliant! Squits and Splats!
Lesley
Jake is beside himself with glee!!
Snowy
Yes I'm not sure the little ones would appreciate the poo cake - the 15 year old would love it though - very cool! Definitely an older childrens cake!
Lesley
I have to disagree - great for 7 year olds! Jake was almost bursting with excitement when we talked about it! Each cake will have a plastic 'bug' of some sort on it. Unfortunately, they only had one fly, so Jake is having that one!
Snowy
Oh I include 7 year olds as 'older'! I meant 'little' little ones - pre toilet humour stage I can just imagine Jake being delighted with it! Will his friends be seeing it as well? He'll be the coolest boy in school!
Lesley
I'm making 25 individual Splats and one slightly larger one for Jake with 5 assorted bugs and candles (or candle) Dan............ do you want to bring out your 'Thread Derailed' train???? The Dogmother
I see that Jake hasn't grown out of his lavatorial humour yet then..
jan_novice_chicken_keeper
The Lakeland catalogue arrived yesterday and before I'd even opened it my DD (2) and DS (4) were discussing their different plans for decorating the cake for their birthdays! DS was most put out that his birthday was last week so he has to wait a whole year to have a train cake. (So was I having spent a long time making a Tommy Zoom and Daniel and Numberjacks and Sportacus cake - the train looks rather quicker!). They had lots of good ideas though........ ubereglu
That cake tin is very cool, and to think that we didn't wander into Lakeland when we went to York on holiday last week.
Basset
Hi, My 3-year-old Thomas fan spotted this fantastic cake on the Lakeland envelope as soon as it came through the letterbox. So I guess hubby (the party cake baker in our house) will be making it for his next party!!!
Snowy
Mine arrived in the post this morning - it's very solid! And the train and trucks are very small. Oh well, will have to try it out on the upcoming birthdays (all 3 of them!)
TheGirlsMum
This forum is soooooo bad for me I have just baked the train cake for my girls return from visiting rellies. Helen&Lee
You guys are soooo bad! I spotted this thread and immediately thought of my twin nephews who have been Thomas mad. At the weekend when their 4th birthday in Sept was mentioned I volunteered to do the cake before I knew it. BAD move... I'd forgotten their sister has a birthday the day before I now also have to do a Hogwarts Castle cake too because its a kind of joint party!!
