Cinnamon
Did anyone else catch 'What Remains' the other night? I thought it was really good...shaping up to be a cracking series. We have had some real good 'uns lately with Broadchurch, Top of the Lake & others.
Groovychook
I did and enjoyed it too. Just found David Threlfall's accent a bit distracting... I couldn't quite place it!
chickencam
Looks quite dark and tense, will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Daphne
Great cast Very interesting premise Bit distracted by David Threlfall's hair and eye make up
Groovychook
Bit distracted by David Threlfall's hair and eye make up Yes- that too! He was wearing eye liner wasn't he?!
Bramble
Bit distracted by David Threlfall's hair and eye make up Yes- that too! He was wearing eye liner wasn't he?! Glad I'm not the only one who thought that, he looked a bit like something out of Rocky Horror!
chuckmum6
He looked rather like the corpse! A touch to grey.
Alis girls
Thought it was my eyesight or telly but I was convinced he had on slap round his eyes. too old mate leave it to the ladies or youngsters. Good programme
Eggasperated
So many people with so much to hide .
Egluntyne
It looks promising. What a dreary house. A stair carpet wouldn't go amiss.
Alis girls
Was so taken with the eye make up didnt notice lack of stair carpet. i can see this being reviting. I like the fact we have a thread as so often we interpret or miss things differently and The Returned's thread seemed to have permanent confusion in it and it wasnt the language difference. Goosey Lucy
I really enjoyed it too. And yes I agree about the eyeliner
Alis girls
My friend from east midlands came down for day today with her nephew. We were talking about TV as you do and she said she'd watched it and I said "what about the eyeliner that David Threlfail was wearing?" She replied " what eyeliner?" She is my age 51 and doesnt have to wear specs for reading but glanced into my garden and said " Ali one of your hens is out" - it was a bag of compost!! I advised her to get eyes checked Oh and she will be checking out the eyeliner
Daphne
Did anyone see the last episode last night? What did you think? I missed Episode 2 and thought Episode 3 was a bit pedestrian, but you couldn't say that about the last 15 mins last night I know it was a bit OTT especially Mr T and his bow and arrow, but I was genuinely surprised by all the revelations and I thought David Threlfall's acting when he was so worried about the baby was excellent. All in all I thought it was very good and I'm glad I persevered
Alis girls
Weird - I mean who in their right mind would live alone with their baby and so many misfits. Three killers in one house - I mean how unlucky can you be. I'd have picked up the babino and legged it as fast as I could. Very odd ending indeed and a bit disappointing I thought. Groovychook
I thought the ending was a bit OTT too, but on the whole, I enjoyed it... even got used to the eyeliner
Ain't Nobody Here
I thought his eyes looked odd too - eyeliner would explain it (but no explanation why he felt the need ). All a bit manic at the end - how many murderers do you need . That skinny actress did a very good job as scary mean woman .
chuckmum6
Watched it, but what a house, glad it's over too depressing!
Egluntyne
I thought it was really good, with all the twists and turns.
Ain't Nobody Here
It really did keep you guessing - could have been any of them!
chickencam
Too dark and miserable for a Sunday evening. What a bunch of unpleasant people. The only likeable character was the young pregnant woman and she should have grabbed the baby and either locked herself in the flat or legged it. Was disappointed with it, too far fetched not worth four hours of precious Sunday time. It left me with a heavy feeling of gloom, had to watch Fried Chicken shop this evening to restore my faith in human nature.
Chickendoodle
I was also disappointed. No character likeable apart from the pregnant one - why on earth did she hide in the loft rather than leaving via the front door! I think a murder mystery needs more people that you want to root for - in the end I didn't care who committed the murder
Olly
I was a bit disappointed with the ending, up till the last half of the final episode I was loving it - but yes, why would you run upstairs rather than out of the house, and how come Len happened to have his archery kit with him? I thought the build up to it was all superb though.
Ain't Nobody Here
I thought Len moved into the empty flat - would explain how he was there to babysit. Doesn't explain how the crossbow got down to scary woman's flat, though .
Alis girls
I was suspicious when I saw all the ice the thin broad was buying - she didnt strike me as a party animal. Bit far fetched - how did Len manage to get his bow n arrow from 2 floors up when it was obvious he was on his way out. Bizarre. Up to the end I had really liked this series - ending a bit naff me thinks
