BHWT rehoming, St. Andrews, Fife

Recommended Posts

Just a wee shout out to all the scottish omleteers that there is a BHWT rehoming day at St. Andrews, fife this Saturday, 1st of February. Contact detail are on either the facebook page or http://www.bhwt.org.uk/cms/contact-us/

I'm full to bursting now or I'd definitely have a couple. Sounds terrible but I'm counting down the years till youngest is off to uni and we move out of town to somewhere with a HUGE garden

Hi, I know about this rehoming and had decided not to have any more since it is sooooooooooooo cold and wet. Can you imagine leaving a sauna and going to live in a wet freezer :?::?: However as my lovely Hazie says, if they are coming out anyway, why should we not have them :?: I am happy to be talked into it as I potentially have the room. What do others think :?: Axx

Sparkysmum yes!, please take some! If you have a little extra room for a poor few wee forlorn chooks who may otherwise be turned into pet food? Never mind the mud, we all have it. (Well lots of us)

They will LOVE your freezing wet conditions........tis freedoooommm?

I would if I were closer and take huge delight in introducing them to my mud...for now, just to see their wee faces outdoors..... :)

Oh if you have the room take them, take them take them....I am going to purchase a classic to go in my enclosure and going to get a few more girls when the need arises.

I volunteer with the BHWT on rehoming days so I am going to take some chickens of fate.....ones that maybe can't be rehomed or whose re homers don't turn up....I have convinced myself if it happens, it is meant to be

Just seeing the sheer numbers of them is overwhelming so if you are considering it then please go for it....and just think spring is only a hop and a skip away

Don't be put off by the weather, we got some end of November, and one was very bald. I thought she was never going to make it but at least she would have a chance, better than going straight into cat food.

But shes fine!!! She has feathered up nicely and is doing really well, she's pretty cheeky too. :D

So i would say definitely get some if you can.

Two happy ex cage hens now happily installed in their ark and classic run. 3 hr round trip but worth it. Always amazes me to see how instinct takes over and they immediately begin to do chickeny things for the first time. Hadn't a clue where bed was and poor Simon had to crawl into the run in the rain and dark to shove them in the pop hole :lol: Photos tomorrow. Ax
