These represent Tilda (my house hen), and her mother, Mrs. The picture is from the lady's website, but is actually of my two hens. I tried to take my own photo, but I couldn't do them justice. I was looking to see whether it's possible to get patterned felt (white with black on, for example, to make an Exchequer Leghorn representation) and I thought "I bet I could make it myself". I looked for patterns - there are some absolutely hideous ones out there. Then I looked closely at the two hens I bought, wondering if I could make my own pattern - and I realised that I just wouldn't be able to do them as well as she did.
