Eggasperated
Or basketweave. For the first time ever I am making a cushion from a tapestry kit (hobby craft). I decided to use the diagonal tent stitch as it is supposed to give a firm neat back but I am struggling with the 'neat' bit. Although I understand the principle, because of the pattern (flowers), there are few large sections in any one colour, plus quite a few random stitches in each colour. How can I keep it looking neat on the back? Is there a magic formula for making the irregular shapes? Hoping someone can give me an idiots guide . Plum
This idiot says if it's on the back of a cushion cover it doesn't matter but I do admire people who achieve perfect backs. Sorry I can't help How is the front looking?
Eggasperated
Thanks Plum (wasn't inferring anyone else was an idiot ). The front looks fine and I'm getting the back to look neater - the trick seems to be working out the correct place to start a section and working across a big an area as possible. Plum
I guess once you have adjoining sections done you can bury the thread
