ali-s
I bet the neighbours wonder what the hell I am doing.I am sat outside in the garden with a quilt a mug of cofee and the laptop! Seems a perfectly reasonable thing to do Martin No meteors yet. Have had a couple of Bats flying around my head Stepped on something that crunched under my slipper and have been doggy doodoo dodging as Scooby Doo decided she needed the loo

Guest
I took hundreds of shots tonight, but caught this on the edge of the frame. It could have been so much better though.....
Tina C
Wow! That is fantastic. How long was the exposure? I stayed up until midnight and saw quite a few but they were all over the sky rather than in one area so I didn't take any photos as I couldn't work out where to point the camera - they were just so fast too. ali-s
Too cloudy here as well Myself, Natalie and Jack took a ride out into the country at midnight away from any lights. What a brilliant time to be out in the middle of nowhere listening to the sounds of the night We saw an Owl which flew right in front of us at face height we also heard Foxy noises and something scurrying in the undergrowth near our feet In the distance we could see lights flickering from a couple of Villages along the coast No Meteors but we had an interesting time anyway Are the Meteors forecast for tonight as well? GRD's photo is brilliant and I second the question about the chickens Hope nothing terrible happend to them Edited August 13, 2007 by Guest

The Dogmother
They will be around for a while. I saw a few on saturday night... Rosie was with her dad, so I drove out into the fields, rolled back the full length roof on the van and lay in the back seat looking out for them. Last night was cloudy at first, but it had cleared by 11pm, Rosie was in bed, so I watched through the velux windows int he attic - fab! Saw quite a few, but got tired and went to bed. Resolved to have a look when I got up in the night, but slept right through

starboyhull
I had a look......The sky was clear of all clouds til 12:15 then the whole sky was just completely covered I saw a couple in that time though, one looked like a huge rocket was really bright but the other one was quite small just like a shooting star...... Will look out again though tonight if they are still going to be there....

ali-s
I was up getting a lemsip at 1am last night. Went outside for a breath of fresh air and I saw a meteor Just the one and it was gone so quick. The sky was so clear up here last night. Thousands of stars in the sky. Then I remembered the Triffids (too many cold remedies yesterday I think) and I ran inside and locked the door
