I think I need help. I have always bought books obsessively and have many waiting to be read on my bookshelves but the kindle has fed my urge to buy books. I got it in April and have read pretty much non stop since then, I bought three more today and thought I should check through. I have nineteen unread books on there. It was a birthday present that keeps on giving. I love having a queue of unread books. Best get back to it..........

I certainly wouldn't say I am an obsessive reader, but I certainly read a lot more since getting my Kindle. It seems so much easier to choose and buy books, and much easier to carry round too.

I'm very stingy, I only (mostly) buy the 99p ones or free ones. I have got about ten in the queue though.

I have 58 unread books on there

But I figure what the heck else am I going to spend my money on & what better than something as wonderful as a book?

I will make a decent dent in that in Turkey next month

 

But probably shouldn't have bought another one today too

I haven't got a kindle, but gave an ipod mini. Love reading on it. Just finished jojo moyes, me before you. Sometimes listen to books I've read before on audio. Did this with life of pi, as the book set my head spinning. Loved it

I don't have any unread books on my Kindle (I finished the last one last night)..hangs head in shame.......must go get some more books I too tend to aim for the cheaper end of the market, there's some quite good freebie books.

Oh dear, I have 189 books on my Kindle . I am getting through them but can't help adding new ones constantly!

 

They are mostly free ones, to be fair, and from experience there's the odd one which I give up on after a few pages but I'm obviously not at all fussy about the books I download .

Well I've been inspired to download 5 new books this morning. Nearly all under £1 but I did splash out a whole £1.99 on one book

I actually think there's some good stuff in the under £1/free categories - obviously a lot of the classics are free but I've also read some interesting things that I wouldn't have ventured on otherwise. However as soon as I've finished a book I move it into a folder, and I do have a folder entitled 'absolute rubbish'!

I obsessive tidier in me wishes that you could sub categorise too.

For example, under my Fantasy category, I could then have a sub for my Harry Potters, one for the True Bloods etc etc.

Thrillers could be subbed into the Jack Reachers, the Davinci code series..........I would love to be able to do this!

 

I am reading an amazing book at the moment called 'We are all completely beside ourselves'. can't remember who by, but it is awfully good

Its by Karen Joy Fowler. I have read The Jane Austen Book Club by her which was good. The one you are reading sounds very interesting.

 

Interestingly enough, I have found it hard to read on Kindle or the iPad kindle. I feel I can't get into the book as much as one in my hand. But do love the idea of taking lots of books with you in one device.
