I have a shocking admission to make. After over 20 years, we have given up watching Corrie . Just did cold turkey and surprisingly, don't miss it at all.

I haven't watched Corrie for many, many years, but if I remember, all the houses are TARDIS like Just inside the front doors they widen dramatically, and appear to have nice hallways with stairs and spacious front room off, something not possible in a skinny 12 foot wide terrace. Also, don't they have joined up lofts anyway? Years ago Les Battersby fell through into someone else's bedroom I thought, whilst exploring the lofts.

yes he does or at least he would around here

there's a house at the end of my road that put one in with out planning 5 or 6 years back that can't sell the house to any one that needs a mortgage as no lender will touch the house

I think if there have been no other extensions on the property and the extension does not alter the roof height and the roof line at the front, or any dormer at the back is at least 20cm further back from the eaves, then he could probably extend the loft using permitted development rights. The downside would be building regs.

It's only a story ! I suspect episodes involving filling in planning forms might not be all that riveting !

Just to add, on tonights 2nd episode did anyone notice how in the children's library session in the café, how first Beth scratched her head, then Maria followed by little Liam - do you think they have a bad case of headlice ?

My mum has alway queried this about Simon, his mother was blonde haired and very pale (not Peters wife though, he had an affair with her whilst married to a barmaid)

What's the odds of Peter ending up in the same cell as Jim Macdonald? Only in soap land....

How come none of the screws realise Peters drunk as a skunk. Hes permanently sweaty and unable to put 2 words together. I know our prisons are a mess but I would have thought in soap land that he;d be in rehab faster than you could say "mines a G and T". Also the smell of fermenting booze in Jims cell would be a sure giveaway.

Ali's Girls - now that I do agree with, surely a drunk alcoholic with the shakes would not just be ignored in prison, or maybe they would if stories of the amount of drugs there are to be believed.

I probably havent a clue what I'm on about but I thought rehab alcohol or otherwise is part of prison life or I'd like to think so. I was thinking "Ooops, word censored!"ily last night that Les Dennis is a bit porky - Gail needs to get him exercising - too many Cornettos me thinks. I did wonder if little Simon was more swarthy than mixed race, he could be Greek, Italian or Jewish. Theres an actor on Emerdale I always thought was Asian hes actually from the Caribbean but always seems to be in Asian roles. Yup gentics a strange thing.
