Lost the last one

Well, this was something of a surprise.

When Poppy died, she was buried in the garden in the same area when most of the previous small furries went. For a while, Flash (rabbit) seemed to be looking for Poppy - they spent a lot of time running around the garden together and he used to stand up at the side of the run looking for her if she wasn't out. Last week, Flash was seen scratching around where Poppy was buried. Didn't think too much as he does that pretty much anywhere. Went past the area involved in daylight on Saturday to find that Poppy has been exhumed  (it was a fairly shallow patch of soil, unfortunately), presumably by Flash. Seems a very strange thing for him to do.

Sorry to hear about your lovely lady, like has been said before you were both lucky to have had each other.

Quite a few years ago When Bart the cat was young we lost his sister lucy when she was run over. We had a full service organised by my young daughter and poor lucy was buried at the back of the garden. We decided to keep Bart in that night as we have ever since in fact. Next morning we let him our, we watched as he slowly walked over to poor lucys resting place, it was amazing to watch almost spiritual, so we thought anyway then he went and ruined it all by having a number 2 in the loose soil. :wall:

We until recently had three 5 year old Orpington sisters PL. When the first died she was buried in her favourite sunny spot. Just a month later and the second sister became ill very suddenly. She was perched under a shelter looking a bit miserable and we were sitting in their enclosure discussing her chances (as pretty slim). She suddenly woke up, walked over to us and started chattering away for a minute or so, something she had never ever done previously. Then she stopped talking, turned and walked over to the exact spot where her sister was buried and stood right on top of her and turned round to look at us for a moment before resuming her depressed pose. What she was trying to tell us we don't know, but she died the next day and was buried alongside her sister.
