Chickens on Corrie!!

Recommended Posts

Having caught up, I noticed that the chickens were actually all still running about in the dark with Sharif (?) trying to catch them.

Surely he should have been told to keep them shut in for a week so they knew where their house was ?

And I heard the cockerel too - in a residential area ...tut tut :shameonu:

Has anyone warned him of the red mite I wonder.

It will be interesting to see who gets the first egg, him or us :D

Been watching this too since my ears pricked up at the mention of chooks then heard Mr Cockerel doing his thing ... :-)

Don't wish to be a spoilsport but I really hope that they portray this properly otherwise it could result in a glut of people thinking its a novelty idea and then buying and regretting the commitment to welfare. We know chooks mostly look after themselves but that entails a not insubstantial contribution from us onlookers who provide feed, water, clean bedding, wormers, healthchecks, shutting them up safely etc ...

What was that about a dog is for life not just for Christmas ... in this case a chook?!

i agree with wez, this could go wrong and it is rather irresponsible of the show producers as it may well inspire loads of people to rush out and get them before they realise quite what they are signing up for, also it might create a rather negative image of back garden chicken keeping and cause trouble for people (depending on how the storyline goes).

That being said it can't make life any different for me, my neighbours haven't spoken to me since i got the chickens anyway and i can't say i miss them (and i very much doubt they are Corrie types)

I agree with wez and Jellybean too, in fact I was hoping that they look after the chickens better than they do any children in Corrie.

I often wonder where Amy is when all the adults are elsewhere and the time is way after school has finished.

Then of course there's Simon and Joseph and Jack, not to mention all the others

Where do they all go ?

A sure case for social services I would have said.
