I'm really enjoying it- highlight of my telly week!

I love the slow pace of it and think it's a brilliant interpretation of the book... I do love that period of history though.

 

There's some fantastic acting, really enjoying Mark Rylance's understated Cromwell.

Loving the sets and costumes too!

Opinions at work are also divided; I was going to try watching the first episode on iPlayer tonight while i do the ironing, but was advised that it needs undivided attention... that'll not get watched then as I never have the time to sit down and watch TV without doing something else at the same time.

I love the candle lit filming. It makes me realise (a little) what life was like before electricity.

I havn't seen episode 2 yet but did enjoy 1. I have studied Tudor history for some time and find the interiors, costumes, props etc really well done and very atmospheric. Mark Rylance is wonderful and Damien Lewis makes a great Henry. Am looking forward to being able to give episode 2 my undivided attention (tho goodness knows when that will be )

I haven't read Lamentation yet because it is still too expensive but really looking forward to it
