Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

My fingers have probably been loosened by a bottle of wine at lunch with some great friends but I can't help feeling a little sad that my eldest niece got married today and I wasn't there .

 

Long story but no invite for me, her uncle, cousins or granny, thanks to my scumbag, thieving, lying, cheating brother. His birth mother/brother/his wife are there (who he's known for 5 minutes) but not the mum who brought him up or his sister. Not that she would have managed anyway but that's beside the point.

 

Well, as far as I'm concerned he no longer has a sister. Not that he'll care.

Still feeling a little sad. Didn't help that out of all the lovely Facebook messages of good luck/congratulations/etc for her wedding day, mine is the only one she didn't "like". Silly but that does hurt a bit. I wonder if she'll send a thank you for the wedding present we sent her.

Ah that is sad ANH. It is a shame that she didn't like your message, perhaps she was worried about upsetting her father, would he have been able to see that she had liked your message. I don't do facebook so not quite sure how it all works

 

I hope you get a thank you card, you deserve that at the very least.

 

Hope you feel better soon, families are just horrid at times.

What has happened to you - all of it, but especially the lies which have made your niece snub you - is very unfair.

 

You've worked hard to get on with things, to suppress/"forget" the injustice. It doesn't take much for that the feeling of injustice to jump up and catch you unaware, all the more painful because you had thought you had it under control.

 

It WILL pass.
