ubereglu
Hi all, I don't feel like I've properly participated in forum life for a long time, but life was taking me on an eventful path. Yesterday, after 4 years studing for my BSc in Biological Sciences with a year of work experience at the University of Birmingham, I found out I had been awarded a 1st! Not only that but I've also been awarded 2 prizes for the highest mark for a Biological Sciences degree and also the highest final year mark! Although I wouldn't say my time at university has always been the easiest I have learnt so much, about myself, academically, emotionally, and physically, (pleased to say I'm more or less back to the weight I started university at, 9st mark, rather than <7 which I was for almost 2 years). Next week I am then heading back home for the summer and will then start on a PhD at the John Innes Centre, which I'm super excited about. Not quite sure what I'm going to get up to over the next few months, but learning to drive is definitely on the agenda, as is getting more hens, as we're currently down to 2, Magic and Spice (An 8 year old Barnevlder!). Dad's also retiring the day after I graduate, so I think we'll both be having itchy feet and driving Mum up the wall together-cycling together is likely to definitely be on the agenda!
