The Dogmother
Thisis so very funny, although it admits to mention that while they will accompany you for miles and miles, catching tea along the way, they are bone idle 90% of the time, and prefer a lit stove. Luckily, mine are more biddable than those featured, although a gundog trainer I know comments that the difference in training hunters rather than retrievers is that you have to make them think that it was their idea all along
dancing cloud
I love it - and it applies to other breeds as well (not looking at three fast-asleep furry hound beasties at all )
Princess Leia
Brilliant, and so true. I know ours is a greyhound rather than a lurcher, but we can identify with all of that (except the squirrel; he doesn't chase anything, which is probably why he was retired from racing at 3 years). UKMARCH
That's funny I can sympathise with the bit about them always laying in the doorways, mine do that and sometimes decide to leap up when you're stepping over!
The Dogmother
I have one who does that too - he's known as the furry coffee table, or the rolling roadblock
Alis girls
My friend had a retired greyhound - it was the most slothful animal I have ever seen. You could barely fit one cheek on their sofa as this mutt took up all 3 places. Cats arent much better believe me. One of mine couldnt catch a cold let alone a mouse
