Alis girls
Does anyone else have cat which know when there is a visit to the vet or cattery due? When we were do to go away our fat tabby a slothful tart if ever there was one disappeared. She is normally super glued to our bed. This day I had an inkling she was in next doors garden - one side has a dog so guessed it was the other. I peeped over the fence and she was in the middle of the lawn washing her bum. I texted my neighbour as I am a key holder and asked if I could go thro house to get her. Her face when I opened our neighbours kitchen door was priceless. She was "OMG whats she doing here?" V E T today so they are all confined to barracks and driving OH nuts. And I havent even got the cat box out yet.
Daphne
Oh yes.....more than once I have had to phone the vet and cancel as whichever moggie was due for inspection had disappeared. On one occasion the cattery said it would stay open for as long it took to find a cat and bring it in, pre-holiday My sweet old boy once successfully hid under a cabinet for an hour or so, as it never occurred to me that he could fit under it to hide.....but the best revenges I had were a)picking up a cat and marching up the garden to show it to the vet (friend and neighbour) over the fence or b)asking the same vet who used to come home for lunch to pop round and give unsuspecting moggie its injection whilst it lounged about on my desk in my study They do have a sixth sense, I am convinced
Alis girls
Well got all 3 to the vets and said fat tabby lay purring on the vets table with her lovely fluffy tummy on show. What a flirt. Our vet likes cats and always kisses them on the head Oh well over for another year. thank goodness.
mullethunter
One of ours hides as soon as either an overnight bag or cat box appears
Daphne
Actually it is a bit odd, all our cats would jump back into their boxes on the vets table at the end of a consult, completely unbidden, even though they regarded the box as something devilish - obviously it was better than being free but in the vet's room But every time our vet friend came round to our house socially, guess who was first on his lap
Alis girls
What I didnt know is that our oldest ginger tom having been confined to barracks had woken the other 2 cats, wound them up and all 3 were sitting at the back door looking mournful. Phone was flat so couldnt get a photo. OH was incadescent and spent a difficult Monday afternoon with all 3 yowling, prowling and being very difficult.
