Sazzle
Hi My girls are fenced in with the Omlet fence. Can I leave them out whilst I'm not home or should I put them back in their run? Thanks
Cat tails
Depends. Do you have foxes in the neighbourhood? Then definitely no. Also chickens have wings and there are plenty chickens that manage to make it over the fence. I have a completely enclosed garden and no foxes, but still lock the ladies in when I leave home. Olly
Personally, I would put them back in the run. The chance of a fox coming by is very high and the Omlet netting won't keep it out. Foxes are everywhere in the UK, even if you haven't seen one there will be one around.
mullethunter
I would put them back in the run too. Just because you haven't seen a fox doesn't mean there isn't one. And as Cattails says there's always the chance one will escape!
