you've probably already checked but are you SURE he isnt in a cuboard or wardrobe?? we freaked out when our old cat toffee disappeared for a day... until we heard meowing from the wardrobe :oops: easily done when they have a nap in the far dark corner!

 

Scamp disapeared today too :( then we asked the neighbours... one of them had taken her into his house cos he thought it was his daughters moggie! :)

 

chilli will come back and then you can both feast on slo gin :wink:

It is horrid, and as you say, you keep thinking you hear a bell tinkle or the cat-flap rattle. I can only second all the others on here, I've had cats go missing for days at a time, and then turn up looking as if butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.

 

Have you gone round the neighbours calling out Chilli's name (I expect you have). With it being bank holiday weekend, a lot of people have gone away and he could have got shut in somewhere - you might hear him answer you if you shout around garages and sheds.

 

I'm sorry to say that I accidentally shut my OWN cat in the garage on Saturday morning, and then went away; he wasn't released until Sunday night :oops: - but he was fine, and Chilli will be too. Lots of cyberhugs, and fingers crossed that he will walk in as per usual.

I have spent the morning putting up more posters, phoning vets & insurers as well as the microchip people & animal rescue places.

I am offering a substantial reward now thanks to the insurers,so maybe that will help?

 

I have missed the deadline for an ad in the local paper, but will do that next week, again courtesy of the insurers.

One cat of mine disappeared for over two weeks a few years back. I had all but given up hope when I got a phone call from a family about a mile away to ask if had a missing cat. It was mine, but to get there he would have had to have crossed a tram line and a canal - never did work out how he did that............ :? So don't give up hope Cinnamon.........

Sauntered in while we were having supper.

He looks fine, but was starving hungry & has eaten 2 big pouches of meat already.

I reckon he was shut in somewhere..............

I am so relieved 8)

 

Cleo is now out de-postering the village :lol:
