Snowy
My son just bought me Amy Winehouse's album. It's brilliant (although some of the lyrics are a bit ). Love her voice and style. Shame she's away with the fairies most (all?) of the time.

Couperman
Am I alone in not being able to stand Amy Winehouse? Er No Sarah you most certainly are not!!! I hate the Singing Horse with a passion! I think her music is is noise pollution and she should be forced into rehab and never let out with her vocal chords intact. I think she is so up herself with the rockstar lifestyle, 'oh everybody feel sorry for me, I take drugs and drink too much and i'm ever so sad....' Well there are too answers 1) Don't take drugs and don't drink too much, it makes you sad! 2) Don't take drugs and don't drink too much it makes you sad! And as big Arnie would say Amy stop Whining! I don't wish her any harm or anything I just want her to disappear back to where she came from and stop annoying me with her whingy music. And if she really wants to go into rehab, regardless of what her Daddy thinks, I can recommend a place near Bleheim Palace! Lovely B&B with free alcoshock therapy! (got a bit carried away there, Sorry!) Kev.

You could be right. Kate Moss and Pete Doherty both need a good wash and a good slap...and a judge to give him a custodial.
lisa33
Well said Kev! My favourites at the moment are The Ark (the band who represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest), Electric 6, Soul Asylum, Deus and Carter USM, (who are reforming for the first time in 10 years WooHoo )
feemcg
Don't tend to listen to music at home, usually in the car - in my multi-changer thingy I currently have The Killers, Snow Patrol. Magic Numbers, Amy MacDonald (new, haven't listened to it much yet) Paulo Nutini and The Dave Matthews Band

Try these 2 bands "the Flies" song out called "High" on youtube or "the Courteeners" (next Oasis). Also been listening to M.I.A (nicked off my Daughter) 2 great tracks called "paper plane" or "jimmy"
Clash City Rocker
Nearly forgot, We saw Amy "WHINE"house support the Arctic Monkeys @ Old Trafford a few weeks ago, very disappointing, really put no effort into it, the other thing we noticed that she has absolutely no rythmn when it comes to dancing, (think dad's & weddings)

lisa33
Cheers Clash City Rocker, Can't find the Flies. Can you send me a link please? Loving the The Courteneers though. Clutch are another great band who I have recently been introduced to. There's loads of their stuff on You Tube and if you love Carter, check out Abdoujaparov, Fruitbat's band. I love nothing better than to dig out some of my 'old' music and kind of vanish into my little 80s / 90s Rock Heaven.

chelsea
mmmm, im tempted. Are you standing or sitting? My husband loves them too (he's into heavier stuff like Metallica and slipknot) , and we've never seen them. To be honest though I dont fit into the the "rocker" mould looks wise I probably would stand out like a sore thumb Or does "Ooops, word censored!"ody take any notice of you? The people that go to see them are a really mixed bunch. I went last year to Old Trafford and I certainly don't fit the "rocker" mould either. This time it's just Ashley (my son) and me going so we are going in the seated bit. The front tends to get really wild and I'm only 5ft 3 so not much point as you can't see over the top of anyone else and would end up crushed. If you click on "order" it tells you which tickets are still available for your chosen venue. I think that all the standing ones have gone at 02 arena and MEN but not sure about the others. If you want my opinon, I think you should treat yourself - you've had a c**p week losing Sam so I think you deserve a nice treat. You would certainly never forget it. I've been to quite a few concerts over the years of a really wide selection of bands from iron maiden to jools holland and everything in between but these were just AMAZING. Their new album is out in a couple of weeks too When we were on our way home from the one last year I would have quite willingly gone to see them again the following night they were so good
