Laura & CTB
mind you... when a cat turns 19 you do get the illusion that they are im-mortal! why arent they?? They are - they just cant spend all their lives on this planet The first page I'm planning to create is of my cats Frankenstein who's 14 and Cifa (who has left this planet!). I've bought some cat themed paper and some embellishments - wonder if I can get her to put her paw print on there too
craftyhunnypie
Every time I go on holiday, I keep a day to day sort of written diary & draw pictures & cartoons. I keep tickets & leaflets of special visits etc. I keep meaning to s"Ooops, word censored!"book them, but I think they are more or less fine as they are - plus trying to re - draw my pictures would be a hard task! I did make hubby a s"Ooops, word censored!"book for a special birthday. Mainly of us, friends, the cat, funny moments etc. He loved it! I tend to make mini keepsakes now, they don't take so much time. Memory boxes that hold a few photos & unfold like magic, CD cases with a bi fold mini album in. Tins with fold out albums etc etc. I just love crafting! I'm a bit like you in craft shops.......I spend a fortune!!!!!!!!!!! But..I don't smoke, only drink a tiny bit & don't have children - so crafting is one of my little pleasures! Emma.x
Guest
I bought a load of s"Ooops, word censored!"booking stuff last year after my first QE2 cruise. I then decided to move and have stil not touched it. It was hard looking for cruise stuff and I never really got exactly what I wanted. This year I went on QM2 and QE2 and they were selling a s"Ooops, word censored!"book and a wonderful kit full of embelishments. So now I have those to. I'm thinking of those winter evenings, too busy with the garden right now.

Classy Chick
I love the notion that cats are immortal - just not on this planet. I shall remember that when my big fat jester cat moves on! As for s"Ooops, word censored!" books, when I go on hols, I keep cards/menus from restaurants, tickets, leaflets & take photos etc. I scribble a little diary each day of the highlights and funny things that have been said or that have happened that day. Then when I get home, I buy one of the old fashioned photos albums - like a book - where you lift the cellophane and stick the photos in and (given my scribbling) I type up what has happened and turn the album into an album cum s"Ooops, word censored!" book of our holiday. That way, when the next holiday seems like months away, the weather is cold and grey or I I just want to remember what a nice time we have had, I can go and look over it all. I did one when I took the kids to Euro Disney and it worked out so well, I did one when we went to Spain and this year, I have just got back from Fuerteventura so I have the album, I have all the s"Ooops, word censored!"s and scribbles and I will work on sorting it all out next weekend. It is a great thing to do - and the whole family really loves it. Much nicer than leaving your digital photos on your PC! Have a go!
Egluntyne
Ah.....I see. Sounds much more personal than plain old photos.
KimW
I am a S"Ooops, word censored!"aholic. I have been doing it for years now. I have four children and loads of pets, so there are always photo's to do a layout with. The only problem is finding the time. I'm into it so much that I have a craft room packed with s"Ooops, word censored!"booking stuff. It's great, I can go into my craft room and get away from the kids, they usually know I'm in there. It takes over your life, you look at everything and think, how can I use that in a layout. I look everywhere for stuff even hardware stores. Good luck with it, you will soon be addicted like me and who knows, you could end up with a craft room too!
Laura & CTB
It is rather addictive isnt it Kim?? I've got loads of stuff put aside for s"Ooops, word censored!"ping (not the luxury of a whole room though!) but I still cant resist popping into the local hobbycraft shop to see if they have any new bits in Time does seem to fly by once you get stuck into it
craftyhunnypie
Pengy - they even do s"Ooops, word censored!"booking cruises these days, where you make your memory album onboard ship. Emma.x
bronze
Memory boxes that hold a few photos & unfold like magic, I make memory boxes too but larger ones out of papier mache and decorated with decoupage.
Lesley
Sorry..... I have to ask........ Is S"Ooops, word censored!"booking just a bit more than glueing and sticking then? - like I used to do with my little ones in the school holidays? craftyhunnypie
I think it is really! I can't be bothered much with it - I don't like some of the over the top sayings you can get to go with your photos! I prefer to store my photos on my laptop, a dongle / cd. I only print out ones that I really like - some I have made into canvasses - like scenery / interesting buildings / animals. Emma.x
KimW
Bron, have you got any pictures of your memory boxes you can show us please? I have recently bought four large window box frames from tk maxx and they were quite expensive. If you have an alternative, that would be great.
