SeramaSilly
I'm tempted to buy one but I'm bamboozled by the choice - does anyone have one?
patsylabrador
Yes. I have a roomba 650 which I think is quite old now. We all agree that it is great. It's the best appliance I've bought. I haven't got any complaints at all. Ours is called Edgar. At Christmas we put a christmas tree decoration on it, one of those singing ones and it trundles around like that. AndyRoo
I'm thinking about getting one of these. I've told the OH that if he buys me one, he has to hear a lot less of me moaning about the fact the vacuuming isn't done.
Lewis
We have three dogs in our uni house and even after cleaning the floors are dirty within a few hours and hair seems to accumulate everywhere! I've always said I'll get one when I get my own place so interested to hear opinions.
patsylabrador
I like it because it will go for over an hour while I do other things. I would never vacuum for that long. I empty the little dust bucket thingy every time and brush the filter clean every time but that takes just seconds. I've noticed that if I don't it doesn't run quite so long. Every couple of weeks I clean all the brushes and wheels and it works more efficiently. None of those jobs are tiresome or anything and save me all the time I would spend vacuuming. It doesn't just slide over the carpet pile either, it picks it up and picks up stuff you didn't know was lurking there. You can get replacement brushes and filters on amazon but I've only done that once so far. The carpet looks smart after Edgar's done his thing. clucker1
Does it pick up dog hair stuck to the carpet?
patsylabrador
I don't know about that but it gathers up all sorts of dust and fluff. My hair is long and it vacuums up that but I don't own any household pets with short hair.
