The Dogmother
I know what you mean Buffie, Phil and I have been talking about taking dnace classes for ages, but just can't get out because I have Rosie - we want to do latin american or flamenco. Phil's a brilliant dancer and I did modern jazz for 6 years, so we'd love it.
Egluntyne
I already reckon that Kelly Brook will win My money is on Gaby Logan. She is a trained gymnast.......and did you see what she could do with her leg. Wasn't Stephnie Beacham hysterical I always thought her rather grand and theatrical. Not a bit of it though. She's a hoot.
buffie
I'll wait. I was ready to shout at Stephanie B and then she turned out to be great fun BBx

Cinnamon
Just to update this thread after last nights opening episode. Good, wasn't it? I am loving that little bald guy, can't remember his name, but he is cute & funny. He reminds me of the chap from Mock The week. How sad to see that Footballer (OK, I haven't had a coffee yet & can't remember his name either) so out of shape, but how brill that he really threw himself into his dance. He was amazing. But, they dressed him in THE MOST UNFLATTERING OUTFIT EVER That tight yellow top looked awful on him. If they had gone with black top & bottom, with maybe some sequin flames in yellow on the sleeves & cuffs to match his partners frock,it would have looked so much better. The girls were good too. I do hope Ian & Penny win, or Brendan & Kelly, who had an amazing chemistry together
lisa33
I loved it too. There aren't many things I enjoy on TV. But Strictly is definately one of them.
The Dogmother
Rosie loves to watch it too, and now that Kelly Brook is on, Phil suddenly wants to watch it
The Dogmother
Well, I managed to watch all the way through one TV programme, but only because the divine Mark Ramprakash was on, shaking those snake hips of his *swoons*
Lesley
We watch it, and love it, but we're going to struggle with it being two programmes now. Two and a half hours every weekend I love Dom - I hope he does well Jazz didn't think much of my sofa dancing - she'd crept up to sit with me (not allowed on the furniture ) and got off in disgust to go and sit with Carl
Egluntyne
Has everyone watched yet....don't want to spoil it by posting a comment about the first to go out and ruin it for anyone. Shame though. Dom is so enthusiastic. Surprisingly cute in tight trousers too. I thought the judges were unreasonably harsh about Matt and Gethyn (?sp) in their comments. I thought they were both fab. John Barnes was a surprise....... but Rod Stewart was right.....he shouldn't have worn yellow. And Willie Thorn....so dignified......and light on his feet. The whole show is TV heaven. Lesley
All I will add is..... I think it was the right choice. Willie Thorne is very light on his toes isn't he? - and Dom is so cheeky
Cinnamon
Dom is so cheeky He is a bit of a cheeky minx isn't he - has that twinkle in his eye and I don't usually go for baldys!
The Dogmother
and I don't usually go for baldys![/color] All the more for me then Actually, he doesn't do anything for me *shrugs* Sweet bloke and a good dancer, but just not right for me. Barnesy looked dreadful in that tight yellow shirt - he's a real sweetie and has a winning smile. I chatted to him and Mrs Barnesy at a pro-celebrity shoot-out once and he was so nice and totally un-starry. I used to have a real crush on him. Egluntyne
Didn't Claudia Winkleman look rough. I really like her she is delightfully daft, and normally very attractive, but on Sunday night ....Oh my word! Maybe she has had the 'flu.
Guest
I think she always looks quite rough. She's very 'natural' - looks like the rest of us on a Saturday afternoon! She fascinates me because she is so unglamorous and clumsy. For ages I wondered why and how she got the job. Then I found out she's someone's daughter - I forget whose - but that explained it. chickencam
She should get that fringe cut
The Dogmother
I agree. Phil thought she looked drunk - they way that she was peering very closely at Bruce and gazing at him - you'd have to be drunk to do that! I have to say that I'd never seen her before though.
Guest
Yes - the fringe is terrible and i'm very surprised they allow her to present anything like that. She does peer doesn't she? Maybe she wears glasses and can't see properly without them?
The Dogmother
I thought she looked a bit gormless.
Cinnamon
Shes Eve Pollards daughter, the newspaper editior (Express?) I quite like her - she seems natural & fun, if a bit odd looking Probably not wise to peer that closely at Brucie though
