Snowy
Oh poo, I can't get the hang of this quoting other people's e.mails, everybody's seem to come up in a neat little box, mine do not! what am I doing wrong? Tessa Don't start a new post Tessa - click on the 'quote' button at the top of the post you want to quote and it will open in a 'post a reply' box so you can edit and add to it! (took me a while to figure that one out as well! ) Thanks for the Kalms info - I'll give it a try this year!

Tessa Tessa, when you want to quote something, make sure the start of the quote has [ quote] before the words and then [/ quote] at the end. All without spaces (and not in bold) The 'quote' button should word. You may be deleting the brackets by mistake?
layla
f My dog, who is now completely deaf used to freak out, she pantedand shook so much I was worried she would have a heart attack we discovered that if we gave her Kalms, herbal tranx, she would calm down immediately and actually sleep through the noise. Other people with dogs who don't like loud bangs might like to try this. Tessa Hello i have a dalmatian who is a complete wreck when it comes to fireworks and does exactly the same shaking uncontrollably really petrified, i'm thinking of your idea about the Kalms seeing as the vet said it was safe. Many thanx Layla

I'll have to add to this - even if it is Off Topic I think you may be adding your text straight after the text of the person you are quoting - and that is before the final quote box. Add any text after that box and it should be fine.
chocolatedog
Exactly why I think fireworks should be banned....... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/south_of_scotland/7064199.stm
Ain't Nobody Here
Fireworks started going off last night - my poor dog is cowering between my knees as we speak & I don't want to imagine what my poor girlies are thinking . No doubt this will go on for weeks to come. What is the fascination with fireworks anyway ?
Tessa the Duchess
This morning on BBC news there was an item about the sale of black market fireworks. Retailers cannot sell fireworks to under 18's, but the sellers of these 'illegal' fireworks sell them door to door, in pubs and at car boot sales, and will sell to anyone who has the money to buy them, so very young kids can get their hands on them with no problem Seems to me the government can legislate as much as it can, but there will always be people who find ways to flout the law...what to do Tessa
