Scooby
My 3 pekins have been so funny today. It's been fairly breezy up here in the north east and the girls have been huddled together near the doorway of the cube for most of the day. When I put out their afternoon treat of dried mealworms and corn there was a mad rush down the ladder for it then a mad rush back up 2 minutes later! Poor girls. They obviously don't like been blown around the run, and it probably doesn't help that they are such little things too.
Laura & CTB
Mine hate the wind too - when I let them out of the run they make a mad dash for the utility room and stay there all afternoon until it's bedtime Bet you girls look cute all snuggled up together
daj198
My cat always run up the garden and through the cat flap when there's a gust of wind.

Faye&Ant
Same with my two pekins, they shelter behind bushes or the other larger chickens. As soon as a bit of sun comes they are happier or if I open the back door to the kitchen, they run in and huddle together on the mat - such wimps altough I forgive them as they are so small being young bantams Do you think I need to keep them somewhere warmer over the winter we have underfloor heating in the bathroom and I am sure they will just love that
Egluntyne
Mine sought shelter this aft. Their frilly petticoats were being lifted something alarming. Looks cute though.
moochoo
Mine really love playing in the wind They do the run and jump thing ( which obviously constitutes flying) to get the wind under them so they 'jump' for longer. We have a sloping garden, they run down the slope with the flying attempt and then walk back up and do it again. Hours of entertainment! xScrunchee
Sarah, You should do a video of them doing that.

chocolatedog
My poor dog wasn't enjoying the wind much this morning - it was really strong and some of the gusts were very powerful - she kept hiding behind my legs........
