Guest
stupid advert, as if she or Alan whats-his-name do their own shopping and that reminds me, as if sharon osborne plays bingo! Give me break!
Popcorn
If you didn't know Lulu's past, you'd never know about her Scot roots. It's a real shame. I do like Lulu though, have to admit. Accents do tend to get watered down when you aren't surrounded in your mother tongue, but I don't think you ever really loose them enough for people not to tell where you are from. Regional accents are really important.
Christian
as if sharon osborne plays bingo! Give me break! I often see her down my local Gala!
susanbb
Sharon Osbourne Really Which bingo club's that then Christian At home we'd be calling Lulu either a"wee bisom" or as my late dad used to cal me a "wee neb". Such terms of endearment I've now put my "sensible head" on and it's what in your heart that counts and NOT the sound of your voice.
Egluntyne
Lulu must have lived outside Scotland for longer than she lived in it. She sprang to fame when she was 14 and she must be well over 60 now!! What became of The Luvvers and do they still have Scottish accents? feemcg
I have often cringed at Lulu's accent - sometimes English, sometimes American but I actually commented to OH on how Scottish she sounds when she speaks to Allan Hansen in the ad. craftyhunnypie
Perhaps Sharon would like to buy her own personal bingo machine from me????!!! Sorry, I'm not advertising here - just having a laugh! Emma.x
One Man Banned
As for accents go, I used to have a really harsh Welsh accent but I have mostly lost it - although expect a very welsh twang this evening as I'm off to do a visit for the day and always come back with my old dialect. I have an awful way of picking up accents when travelling around, I never mean to be rude but I seem to end up doing it A xx
Louise
Those who know me will know I have little or no scots accent left at all I moved to England at 8 and moved back at 28 My parents still have theirs but mine disappeared it does come back sometimes but it depends on who I am talking to I can do other regional accents as well
feemcg
Louise, when I met you I didn't hear any Scottish. I presumed (wrongly!) that you were English and had come to Scotland to work

Ain't Nobody Here
When I'm in England everyone thinks I sound Scottish but when I'm in Scotland people think I sound English . I'm a bit of a mongrel nationality-wise which is possibly the reason .
