    • Let's just have a BHWT sticky with rehoming stories instead

if this doesn't work Martin, I'll set one up on facebook and/or myspace or somewhere- I'd rather have it here but i want to swap stories and experiences with fellow ex batt owners so we'll see what comes of the poll

If there are only a handful of yes votes, the BHWT section would obviously just appeal to a very small section of the forum membership so wouldn't go ahead. If the vote is an overwhelming yes, a section would be created. If the vote goes against the section, a sticky for swapping stories would probably be the best way to go on instead and it is something I'd be happy to set up for you.

The mods on here do a great job so lets not make it any more difficult for them.

.

that's not in question and i don't think an extra sticky would make things any more difficult for them, anyway Kate's already agreed to one if the poll goes against a seperate forum.

We just want one place to swap stories etc, that's all.

It's not the idea of the sticky I'm against, Poet as that would be very easy to set up and maintain. The suggestion was for a thread or a whole section and it's the section I'm thinking about. I've already explained that I've had a few complaints about there already being too many sections so it's something that would need careful consideration. An extra section would give the moderators more work but the poll will determine the outcome. If the majority of posters want a BHWT section, they can have one.

Is there a post somewhere where I can catch up on "Buffie's excellent work"?

I don't think there is...just little bits gleaned along the way.

What a fantastic idea, though.

What do people think about having a thread or even a whole section on the forum with information on the BHWT, and/or bits about happy pet rescued hens?

Me and my big mouth :lol::lol:

i'd be happy with a sticky and would prefer to use just this forum and when I say this forum i mean the Omlet forum in general with all it's sub forums- i mainly use the nesting box and chickens so a sticky in either of those would be fine.

in the meantime, if anyone has facebook you can swap ex batt stories here, it's a kind of ex-batt support group ;)

I think a sticky would be a bad idea. It would become too long like other threads and then be at risk to crashing the forum. It would also become jumbled with people trying to post to somebody about something 2 pages back.

hmmmm, good point, we'll just have to wait and see what happens with the vote then.
