Ikea

Recommended Posts

No worries, usually have cake but also have ironing the size of a mountain and lots of dust on shelves, surfaces. I blame this forum but things were the same before I had the hens!

Someone once told me that their children learned to write in the dust in her house so I'm using that as my excuse! That and having to sew a donkey costume for YS role in the Nativity play at school, sewing 10 2.5m valances for tables at the school Christmas Fayre and dealing with my mother who I really wish I didn't have to have anything to do with at all.

Heigh ho, the more the merrier! If you want something doing, ask a busy person. :D

Hey wait for me! I'm up for an Ikea Coventry get together!

Just checked the location though - is it really going to be in the city centre? :? Surely that is a bit impractical? :( Might be quicker going to Nottingham after all. Is it an easy route from the M69 or is it likely to get snarled up with traffic? At least the Nottingham one is just off the motorway!

It'll be murder to get to

Yes so don't go until after the initial hoo-ha, Christmas and Sales periods are over.

Coventry get-together at Ikea- followed by cake at yours then?

Definitely, you're all welcome. Think you might need tea, cake and chooks after a hectic shopping trip. I might even meet you in store! Omlet get together over a bowl of meatballs followed by tea at mine?

We bought all our goodies in the market hall too Clare.

I got 16 GORGEOUS new wine glasses...sort of goblet style with a nice chunky stem, plus lots of other bits & pieces too.

I found a brilliant make your own Gingerbread house kit for under £2 in the food bit, & some non alcoholic mulled wine for the girls at Christmas.

And we are having Swedish meatballs & creamy sauce for supper on Saturday :P

After Ikea we went into London, mooched around Covent Garden, visited Trafalger Square, where its now an offence to feed the pigeons, & had a lovely proper lamb meat kebab in Leicester Square.

While we were there people watching Sir iam Mckellan & Gordon Ramsey both walked past (not together!)

Gordon was LOVELY 8)

It was a lovely day & the Christmas decs looked magical :P
