The Dogmother
Christian, They used to have good seals on their jars, then changed them. Now I buy new seals and put them on. If you ever buy kilner jars from Lakeland, be sure to check the seals, I had to take two back the other week because the seals were split. Ain't Nobody Here
table and chairs from Ikea, What cleverly designed table and chairs - very neat! (I like your clock - is that not Ikea then?)
Guest
p.s. this is the other end of the kitchen, we only had it fitted in April and this was taken before the floor tiles were done, it's not an Ikea kitchen, my DH works for a well known furniture manufacturer so we got a discount otherwise I would have gone to Ikea! Guest
table and chairs from Ikea, What cleverly designed table and chairs - very neat! (I like your clock - is that not Ikea then?) they're very neat and compact, we only have a small kitchen so I wanted something compact and I love the design of it anyway. I love Scandinavian design in general. No, Ikea didn't have the clock I wanted so this one was from the web.

I haven't been since late spring/ early summer I think, but have a shopping trip to Lakeside planned next week and that will inevitably include a visit to Ikea
Rona
I love Ikea too. My kitchen is Adel birch with their Domsjo double sink and I have Billy/Benno cupboards and bookshelves in the sitting room. They also do lovely stawberry tarts as well as free coffee refills - sounds like Ikea would be good place for an Omlet Get Together.

I think some Ikea designs are classic and never look out of date, the Klippan sofa is one of these. To be honest if I had more money I probably wouldn't have so much Ikea stuff, but I do have some old antique furniture as well and the two go well together. They do go a bit schitzo sometimes, I remember a few years ago they were urging us to 'chuck out the chintz' then two seasons on all their fabrics were flowery Tessa
chickencam
We only discovered the delights of Ikea earlier this year. We took a trip to the Bristol one and then went on tho Weston Supermare(I can't spell tonight)for a day on the beach. We bought some curtain poles for ED's room which are thin white metal poles and they come with end finials (sp) that look like polo's and they codt 69p each. She really wanted Ikea wardrobes for her room but they were all too tall
Cinnamon
I have an Ikea kitchen, Ikea kitchen floor, too numerous to mention kitchen things and gadgets Billy bookcases I am sitting here in my office in front of my Billy Bookcases, which are a wonderful way to hide all your junk & display your books. I asl have the Komplement wardrobe fittings in a fitted wardrobe that The Hubby built into our bedroom, & they are fantastic, especially the pull out double laundry bins - genuis! One Man Banned
Well there was me thinking that this was a nice thread and we have a few bits..... Looking round the living room we have two Poang chairs and a footstool, coffee table, leather sofa and sideboard. Upstairs in our bedroom we went for huge Ikea wardrobes tall boy and bedside cabinets and our study has one wall filled with the Billy bookcases and cd shelves. I need to pop in to our local one (Bristol) as our recycling centre now takes Tetra Pak cartons so I need another of their recycling tubs, great huge white things with a flap on the lid to post stuff in, I love them!! I make just one rule with Ikea, never go anywhere near that place on a weekend, I hate the huge crowds and how busy it gets. A xx
Lesley
I'm not allowed to Ikea ever since we went and spent £300 in 3 hours - and it's a real pain getting to the Wednesbury one as well. We did call in at the Edinburgh one when we went up for the Omlet get-together. The local Brewery (local to Louise that is) was closed so we went to Ikea instead .....but a Coventry store ....Carl will be soooooo pleased He works for a client in Kenilworth - just down the road - he'll be able to pop in for anything I need - he knows it will work out cheaper if I don't go....... Helen&Lee
it's a real pain getting to the Wednesbury one as well. Lesley, There has been a rumour floating around that there is going to be an Ikea on the old Rover site at Longbridge / Rubery. My in-laws house backs on to that vast site - I can't get over the size of what was Rover now a lot of it has been flattened Ikea takes me back to when we lived in Saudi - it was on the list of bus trips out of our compound every week. Mmmm Ikea or a supermarket - needless to say you name the impliment and I probably have it from Ikea, 7 years on and I'm still living off all the duvets and towels I collected Helen
