Recommended Posts

We've finally got our trees and decorations up. This is the sitting room tree and the fireplace all finished at last!

and this is the little one in the dining room which the boys insist on messing about with the light controller for so it's flashing about like Blackpool Pleasure Beach when I'm not looking

I see you have Egluntine's poster by the bin  She sent me a copy of that, must get a frame for it and get it hung, it tickles me  Also got a dig for victory one, they'd look nice either side of my kitchen clock.

Lovely house, looks like a mix of all the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in, when are you inviting me for a full English? ;)

:lol: I "try" to keep it tidy, Goosey Lucy but the 3 males in my life like to make it very difficult for me  . 2 cake tins? Oh dear, no, I've got more than that - I really am an ebay addict  . I've got 2 of the 3-tier Tala ones, a cream and green Worcesterware one and a gorgeous, very tall Worcesterware one in the conservatory with roses painted on - very pretty.

Poet, I make butter sometimes. I've got a gorgeous "Blow Butter Churn" which I bought from an antique shop for my birthday this year which makes fantastic butter with very little effort and the wooden "hands" in the utility make squeezing the buttermilk and shaping the pat very simple indeed. I found the wartime hens poster in a book a few years ago and scanned it, printed it out and laminated it. I love it and anything else to do with the WW2 homefront  .

Lovely house Kate- quite country cottagy.

In your kitchen I like where you keep your pots & pans in the doorless cupboard- in our kitchen we have the internal pipe leading down from the toilet- is that what I can see there?

We are hoping for a new kitchen soon, & what you have done there looks like a good solution.

Which company did you use for your kitchen?

Jules, that area was all hidden by bits of board before we took the worktops off and found the space underneath. It seemed such a waste not to use it that LSH built a cupboard into it. The pipework goes down the back so the cupboard's not as deep as the others and it's not big enough for a door but I love having somewhere to store my baking tins and saucepans. The units all came from Ikea and we fitted it ourselves in a week during the summer.

ahhh Kate... looks like you have the same Angel as we do... we've had him for years....

except our angel is straight... 8);)

Phil

(straight as in not leaning over all wobbly - not as in heterosexual - though I am pretty sure angels are androgenous - even though Gabriel was a big scary bloke......)

:lol: I bought it from Oxfam years ago. I cannot get it to sit straight no matter how I try :lol:

Well Kate you do hand out a lot of Sloe Gin in your house - angels included!:lol:

Typical me

I have taken a few photos of the tree and have gone and left my firewire at work! :x:roll:

Oh well, imagine a fat tree with decorations thrown at it and thats our tree!
