Guest
I remember the first time I saw one of mine having a dust bath. I thought she was having a stroke. It looked like she couldn't get up and was drunk! Poor little bamboozle, she looks a bit tatty doesn't she but obviously having loads of fun! Ours don't stop dust bathing once they get going for anything or anybody!

Shirl
She's my best conditioned ex batt and TBH she normally looks better than that. I don't think dust bathing is flattering

Snowy
Lovely pic of Bamboozle Shirl! Poet your girls look great - but which little madam was it pacing up and down in the dinner trough? This was my girls dustbathing in summer - normally they maintain a healthy distance between them and the boys, but as you said, when they are dustbathing they will NOT be interrupted! Egluntyne
I love to see them luxuriating in a bit of mud in a patch of sunshine. You can tell that they think it is bliss.

Snowy
That's a good idea Poet. Wonder if I could adapt it for children? I'm always telling Matthew to get his feet off the table

Guest
That's a good idea Poet. Wonder if I could adapt it for children? I'm always telling Matthew to get his feet off the table we weren't allowed elbows on the table, never mind feet! I can just imagine you with a huge canopy over your table If you mean the coffee table, I think all blokes do it, I think they're programmed to do it. Like battery chickens and dust bathing. Show a fella a coffee table and up go the feet, move the table!
Snowy
I wish! I'm afraid we are all guilty of putting our feet on the coffee table in this house! No, at 3 Matthew thinks it's hilarious to try and get his feet in his dinner Probably because he thinks that is what tables are for!

Guest
just been out to look at them and Maud has just dug a hole for a dust bath and started rolling around. Mariana decided she couldn't be bothered digging a hole so got in with Maud and gradually shoved her out. The pair of them are trying to roll around in the same hole at the moment, it's side splittingly funny to watch!
KateP
I can't believe that they will still have a dust bath even when it has been raining. Last weekend after the awful weather, my two had a dust bath (well, mud bath) in the border and they were absolutely covered in mud, it was everywhere! Donnatella then trotted up the garden, stood on the patio and shook herself like a dog so mud sprayed everywhere ! It was all over the patio, the windows and me! My husband says I let them get away with too much - he reckons if the cat (his cat) made so much mess I would go mad (which is probably true ) I just make excuses for them though - it's never their fault!
