chelsea
video, they look like they are having a whale of a time - so lovely to see the other chook in the video looks huge (I thought my chooks were big girls!) or maybe its the camera "adding on a few pounds", as it does!! Guest
I have to admit the size of that pigeon in the video with her made me scared! My first thought was that it was a pigeon but I think it must be Mrs Miggins!

gooner.girl
That chicken (Miggins) is the size of a small horse! Honestly! She's HUGE - twice the weight of my chooks! Came back home after holding Miggins once and mine looked so tiny and weighed so little in comparison! I don't know what them chicken keepers feed their chooks on in Upminster... Guest
Poet - nowt special - I have always mixed poultry spice ihn with their food and I did wean her off mash and onto pellets... she basically stuffs her face all day long - which may be something to do with it! the name... technically should be Poons - but I have spelled it Pooms for so long, that's what I call her! Windle Poons was a wizard who featured heavily in the early Pratchett Discworld series - he had a magic trunk that followed him around (on little legs!) Miggins is a big girl - she did look a bit pathetic for a while as she has just gone through a moult - but now - as you can see - she has her mojo back! (and she has started laying again!) this was the photo that first made miggins famous on this list... Phil
