Guest
Nope, stayed just outside once and that was the closest I've ever been. Not on my list of places to visit this year but I'm sure I will one day! Have a good year of culture.

emu
Hurrah for Liverpool. Spent the best of 5 years at University there and plan to revisit and have a mini reunion there with a few chums. Confess also to being a Liverpool supporter.

Chicken Licken
If you visit Liverpool you can see Superlambanana (not sure of its current colour) http://www.liv.ac.uk/study/city/culture.htm it was green when I saw it last (I think). There is also a jaffa orange bull sculpture along from the docks.
Guest
I do a series of Liverpool Poetry greetings cards and one of them features Super lamb banana Liverpool is choc full of street art and sculptures. Apart from the Gormley ones on Crosby beach and SLB of course, my favourite would have to be 'Liverpool Resurgent' - "meet under a statue exceedingly bare". If anyone wants any tourist advice, just ask p.s. it's yellow at the moment Edited January 1, 2008 by Guest

Martin B
I'm a bit stuck about this one. Bought tickets for Liverpool vs Villa on 19th January (Saturday) and they have moved it to Monday 21st. How I meant to get to Liverpool on a school night. These tickets have cost me almost £50 and they are non-refundable. What would you do? I'm going to miss the last lesson of school to go but what would you say to the school? Dentist?

missuscluck
It does sound like a curry Poet. I spent many a happy day in Liverpool. We used to go on the train 50p return trip to Lime st. most saturdays. Lots of good shopping when you are a teenager. St Johns market used to sell all the trendy clothes and shoes. I still love it but its lost on hubby. He really dosent like it at all and prefers Manchester.
Guest
oooooooooo, I don't really like Manchester as far as shopping goes, far too spread out and most of the road system is one way and other drivers won't give you a second to think and get your bearings. Give me Liverpool every time!
Janty
Doesn't that amount to grounds for divorce...prefering Manchester!!!
