Ginger redeemed herself today .. laid a 77g 'er . Managed tio collect it while warm, and before it got destroyed.

Kelly has excelled herself for Science week and has laid 5 days in a row! Previously she only ever managed 3 in a row, so she has made such a special effort.

 

It'll be interesting when all the results come in. I hope Omlet publish them so we can all see them!

Sadly no. Poach, our littlest is too busy running away to be competitive and the takeaway trio too busy chasing her. That leaves Scramble... Guess whose egg was broekn and whose the soft shell was.

4 eggs yesterday and 3 today, but only tiddlers!

They are bantams, surely they're supposed to lay small eggs

 

Beth's was a measley 65g today, but she is "one-a-day Beth" so I don't care. Only 2-3g under anyway!!! Trinny laid one of her huge ones at 90-something grams. T and S are not reliable, but seem to be making up for it in weight

Little Lavinia is reliable, laying 3 days on and one off. Her perfect miniature eggs weigh just 28g

Bubbles laid another egg today It weighed 50g.

I weighed the shop bought "medium" sized eggs and they only weighed 3 grams more.

My chickens have been free ranging all week.... not a good thing for this research though since not being confined to eglus & runs they've had compleye freedom to lay wherever they like. Currently our tally is

Ginger has laid less probably as she is 2 yrs old now. Mrs Snowy is a top Egg machine, and Ebony likes to have the odd day off. .

 

Ginger missed 3 days .. then yesterday laid an 83 g'mer.
