Tina C
Country Life is not really my thing but its great that they are including articles on chickens - Johannes' press release must have reached them in time to be included!
Guest
DH gets 'kitchen garden' mag and there was a big article in there about choosing hen houses, which had a photo of an eglu in it. p86 Choosing a home for your hens Our expert poultry keeper, Laurence Beeken on the best hen houses to buy http://www.kitchengarden.co.uk/contents.php
Ain't Nobody Here
I'm trying to pluck (oops ) up enough courage to put myself forward for a course. Am too embarrassed about the state of my house / garden / self / chicken knowledge at present . OH and sons were surprisingly positive when I mentioned it to them . Has anyone ever complained that they didn't get their £10 worth - that's what I'd be worried about .

Has anyone ever complained that they didn't get their £10 worth - that's what I'd be worried about . You'll be fine....go for it! I agree - go for it!! I have and im a terrible worrier. AND my garden has no grass in it - its all gone! The goodie bag alone is nearly worth £10. I think most people are going to be so excited to actually see a real life eglu close up and have a cuddle with chickens to worry about anything else. They will ask lots of chickeny questions - and we talk all day here about chooks, so 1.5 hours of chicken talk should be a breeze for you! Ain't Nobody Here
The problem might actually be how to fit it all in to 1 1/2 hours . I'm warming to the idea and the family don't seem too shocked at the suggestion!
Snowy
I found my first went a bit over the hour and a half, but yesterdays went to time and everyone got to cuddle a chicken. Most people seem to be considering it already but have never handled a chicken and need to know that they can. You'll be great ANH! Just use your razor sharp wit on them and keep them laughing
Ain't Nobody Here
Well, last night I composed my "All About Me" so watch this space . (I've already decided on my opening line too - "in case you're worrying about the mess my chickens have obviously made of my garden, let me reassure you. My garden was like this well before they arrived .")
