Good night out.

Recommended Posts

I got to have a rare night out last night. Since moving I dont know anyone, and with doing up the house and having the boys we havent had a change to do the whole social thing. Last night we went with some of OH's co-workers to dinner then a comedy night. I havent laughed so hard in a long time, we had a great time and are going to make a regular thing of it.

his co-workers were all really nice and friendly too and said they will invite us out with them and their partners more often. Plus my other half emailed me today to say that the people he works with said I looked like Dita Von Teese. So Im now also very flattered!

wow yes, we need to see this!

It's really hard when you move to a new area isn't it, especially when you're so busy. When I look back at how I met some of my very close friends, the initial contact is often quite random - you discover you've got something in common, and start to meet up more often, and things build from there.

I have a very close circle of friends, and I can't imagine my life without them - they are brilliant. Glad you had a good time, you obviously need to get out more often!

Aw arnt you all kind. Unfortunatly I dont get to get glamed up very often. As im normally mooching round the house in jeans with my hair in a permanent ponytail.

I feel the need for a glam chicken keeper thread with everyone dressed in their best whilst cleaning out or feeding chickens. another form I use did something similar where we all posted pics of ourselves in evening gowns doing the housework.

I'm not posting pics of myself after seeing that .... I like the idea of the glam chicken-keepers thread, though!

In the darker mornings, seeing to the chooks is usually the last thing I do before leaving for work, as it's the only chance to see them in daylight, so I'm frequently in the garden 'suited and booted', filling up the food and water. Spilling garlic powder down your work clothes is not recommended! Nor is getting, er, mud (I think that's all it was!) on your best boots!
