Blackrocksrock
Anyone tried the new poached egg pods from Lakeland - they look really smart but..... not sure if they will be good or not = love poached eggs - hate the way the white goes If you buy from lakeland remember the £10 voucher code off a £25 spend Edited February 16, 2008 by Guest

Eyren
Those pods look pretty funky! Unfortunately our Lakeland is closed for a refit until March Guess I'll just have to make do with my old microwave poacher...
Ain't Nobody Here
Nooooooooooo, I've just looked at the pods - and I think I need them . Clingfilm works really well but is a faffle. And I wanted some loaf tin liners but the postage was more than they cost . If I buy loads of things, the postage will be worth it .

I'm as daft as a brush....I think..."Whoa...I'm not paying all that postage".....so I drive 30 miles or so to the shop!! Mind you....they have a wonderful little cafe.....I love a browse in the shop......I wander around for hours...and as I grew up in Manchester I combine the trip with a visit to a friend or family. Perfect day out.

Hmm, I usually think that as I'm using it (I think it was discussed on a thread too). That's why I need some pods
The Dogmother
They DO look rather natty, but I am as concerned about cooking in silicone as in cling film . I use an egg poaching pan with ceramic poaching dishes - it works brilliantly.
Guest
I also spotted this in the catalogue this morning!!! the rooster collection I've got the apron (love it! ) and the oven gloves. They're really good quality.

I've been looking into getting a pan - I thought £10 for 4 pods that you can't use for anything else was a bit steep.
The Dogmother
I think I got it on a trip to Norfolk Vicki, sorry, but it was years ago. I also have one with non-stick dishes; you can get them most places.
CatsCube
Im loving the cling film method, plus when I want to be fancy I line the cling film with smoked samon then pop the egg in it and wrap it and poach it like that. mmmmm I have a proper egg poacher but dont like it, the yoke always comes out hard boiled in order to get the white on the top to cook through. I thought I was being fancy, putting 2 eggs in one clingfilm "bag" (works a treat, BTW ).

Perfect done the cling film way.
